An introduction to user experience design


In today’s digital world people’s experiences have become a crucial aspect for every product, company or organization. The transversality of the UX field affects all areas of business as well as the technology and its development.

In this course you will learn the core fundamentals of UX Design, and what makes a site or an application work in terms of usability. We will be using industry standard software such as Sketch and Invision. You will learn the basics of the UX concepts and methodologies while working on a practical project.

The outline

We are going to start with some basic of the UX fundamental concepts and quickly progress to the practical part of the course which involves applying new skills for a real life project. Through guided step by step approach you will learn how to begin when building a new website, app or digital product.

You are going to learn and practice the UX core concepts such as:

  • The principles of UX and design phases
  • User Interviews and Problem Statements
  • Prototyping and Testing
  • Personas, User Stories, System Map, Flow Diagrams, Concept Map & User Flows

After finishing the course you will have a UX case study ready for your portfolio, where the basic phases of UX design will be translated to a wireframe prototype.

This course would be extremely beneficial for coders, designers, product owners and startup founders thinking about building their apps in the right way.

Your Instructor

Marina Tudela has been working as a digital designer for several years, the last ones focussing just on the UX and UI of the products. As a designer, she tries to focus on the balance between usability and visual harmony. She has worked at digital studios like Antiloop and London-based startups like Joivy. Nowdays Marina works as Senior UX Designer at Haufe and also at Barcelona Code School teaching UI/UX workshops for the JavaScript Full-Stack Bootcamp students.
