Language: English — bring your laptop

Price: 490€ per week — book one, two, three, or all four

Why coding. Why this summer.

Programming is one of the highest-demand skills in the world right now. The kids who start learning it early don't just have a career advantage — they think differently. They build things instead of just consuming them.

This isn't a one-size-fits-all computer class. At Barcelona Code School, groups stay small, instructors give individual attention, and every student leaves having built something real — a working website or a mobile app they can show people.

One week is enough to get started. Four weeks is enough to change how your kid thinks about technology.

Daily schedule

  • 10:00–11:30: coding class
  • 11:30–11:45: break
  • 11:45–13:30: coding class and project work

Each day ends with progress on a real project. Not exercises — actual apps.

What students learn

The curriculum covers the same technologies our adult bootcamp graduates use on the job — adapted for 12–18 year olds, taught step by step.

  • JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 — the building blocks of the web, used by millions of developers worldwide
  • Python fundamentals — one of the most versatile languages in tech, from data science to automation
  • Websites and web applications — plan, build, and publish a project that actually works online
  • Mobile apps for iOS and Android — build and publish a real app, not just a mockup
  • Coding with AI assistants — how to use AI tools to write better code faster, a skill every developer needs now
  • Logical thinking and problem solving — the mental framework behind every good programmer

How the four weeks build on each other

Week 1 — foundations. HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics. By Friday, students have their first webpage live.

Week 2 — going deeper. JavaScript logic, functions, interactivity. Projects get more complex.

Week 3 — mobile. Building apps that run on a phone. Students can pick their own app idea.

Week 4 — AI and final projects. Using AI tools in development. Each student finishes with a project they built themselves.

Each week is also self-contained. If your child can only come for one or two weeks, they will still leave with a complete, working project.

Who this camp is for

Ages 12 to 18. No coding experience required — we start from zero.

If your child has already done some coding, they won't be bored. Instructors adjust the challenge level individually. Fast learners get harder problems. That is what small groups make possible.

The camp is taught in English. It is a good environment for international families in Barcelona, kids who want to practice English in a technical context, or students thinking about a future in tech internationally.

About Barcelona Code School

We have been running coding bootcamps and courses in Barcelona since 2015. Our adult graduates work at companies across Europe and beyond.

The Young Coders summer camp uses the same school, the same instructors, and the same hands-on approach — just tailored for younger learners. Groups are small by design. Maximum six students per instructor.

We are not a franchise. We are not an app. We are a real school with real teachers who code professionally.

Frequently asked questions

Does my child need to know how to code?

No. We start from scratch. If they already know the basics, instructors will give them more advanced material.

What laptop do they need?

Any laptop bought in the last five years will work — Mac, Windows, or Linux. They just need to bring it charged. We handle all the software setup on day one.

Can we book just one week?

Yes. Each week is self-contained and priced separately at 490€. Book as many as works for your summer.

Is there a discount for multiple weeks?

Use the contact form below to ask about multi-week options.

What age range is this for?

12 to 18 years old. We have run camps for kids at both ends of this range and the curriculum adapts.

Is the camp in English?

Yes, fully in English. That makes it suitable for international families and also a useful immersive environment for kids learning English alongside coding.

What happens if my child misses a day?

Contact us and we will do our best to help them catch up. Because groups are small, this is usually manageable.
